About the BQIA......In 1938, with concern over the increasing year round population and development on the peninsula, the Bowleys Quarters Improvement Association (BQIA) was incorporated by a group of property owners. Its hope was “to promote and assure consented activity in all matters pertaining to the proper development; improvement; and maintenance of that portion of Baltimore County known as Bowleys Quarters and vicinity thereof”. Since 1938, the BQIA has been actively addressing water and sewerage issues, population growth, zoning, development, watershed protection, Martin State Airport noise and traffic, road and drainage maintenance, public services, air and water quality, and any issues that may impact the integrity of the area. All on a volunteer basis. We invite you to join us at one of our monthly meetings and get involved in our community. | Next BQIA General Meeting: March 12, 2026 @7PM We are very fortunate to have David Marks as our County Councilman. The work he has done over the years addressing our needs and concerns is more than commendable, it is amazing! Thank you, David, for keeping us in the loop and for speaking at our March 12th meeting. Keeping us apprised of plans, projects and developments is so important to the wellbeing of our area and has enabled us to be proactive. We look forward to your presentation this Thursday and your presence as a friend to Bowleys Quarters! Please support the BQVFD! https://www.bqvolunteers.org/station |
